Candy Lucid are a Byron Bay-based punk-rock quartet. Taking four musicians from differing musical backgrounds, with attitude is Elodie Gervaise on lead vocals, who injects a lethal dose of intimacy and punk. Benjamin Evans on lead guitar / vocals, brings with him twenty-five years of experience on the east coast music scene. Peter Tanevski is a highly talented bassist and James Cornell on drums, who has played professionally throughout Europe for the last decade. Together they throw a powerful masculine sound that meets the strong ethereal howls of lead lyricist, Elodie. Newly formed, Candy Lucid have quickly established a sound unique to Byron Bay. Having released their first single ‘Too Hot’ in late October, the band aim to keep performing and recording more tracks in the future. Their next single ‘Viking’ launches on December 6th and they are about to support L.A Witch at The Great Northern Hotel next Saturday 9th December.
