WHO IS CANNIBLAST? Formed in Cairns, late 2006 with guitarist Michael ‘Mykill’ Maroules, drummer James ‘Kned’ Gulliford, bass player Gene ‘The Penis’ Waltham and ex-vocalist Euan Williams. Canniblast was formed for one reason only, to make loud, fast, and aggressive music. The band jammed only a few times with Euan when they were offered a gig at a local pub with 3 other local bands. However Euan was getting headaches from the intensity of his singing, so he had to pull out. It was then that Canniblast stumbled upon vocalist Nick “Greggore” Gregg who had a long history as an ex-front man with Deadlock (2003-2004) and Phinisha (2004-2005). Greggore joined the band and the line up has stayed the same since. Starting off supporting other Cairns bands, Canniblast soon shot to the top of the pack, attracting more followers often than the larger headlining acts. There aggressive style often ‘wore out’ the crowd, moshing themselves out of energy, before the last band could play. This
