Canopy Choirs is a five piece from Sydney, currently in the process of getting their music out into the market and developing their live show. Lewy Westhoff (Guitar, Vox) met Henry Roberts (Guitar, Keys, Vox) after school in 07 and started playing guitar together and writing some original material. After attempting to develop a serious band for a couple of years they finally landed on a full lineup including Ed Bailey (Bass) Murray Hansen (Keys, Sax) and Jack Chapman (Drums). After playing their first show in April 2010, they’re already busy making their way around local venues like World Bar, Spectrum, The Annandale and QBar, their music is a mix of Indie Pop with a touch of Surf with influences ranging from The Beatles and the Beach Boys to Wolf Parade and The Drums.
