'‘When All Is Said Not Done’ is the debut EP from the talented singer songwriter Carl Larsen. After a year spent driving around Australia, Larsen has emerged with an album of stories that could only come from the road. A melancholic, dreamy ride that skillfully weaves together a myriad of themes and ideas about corporate corruption, betrayal and self doubt. It reveals a musician with the rare ability to combine accomplished guitar playing with songs of substance. In doing so, Larsen evokes the soft vocal melodies of his influences Paul Dempsey and Jose Gonzalez. Born and bred in Ballarat, now based in Brunswick, Larsen will spend the remainder of 2008 gigging and writing in Melbourne. Whilst he does, the Australian music scene will continue to celebrate an ever expanding list of young solo artists to emerge from country Victoria. It can now add another.' - Dashiel Lawrence, ABC Radio.
