‘Cartoon Ninja’ is the project name for Melbourne-based musician Scott Stronach’s electronic music. Scott has spent the last decade playing drums in a variety of original bands in both the Newcastle and more recently the Melbourne music scene. He has been messing around with beats and synthesis for years but has never commited to releasing anything until now. Cartoon Ninjas debut release, titled ‘Sketches’, is a three track EP that explores Scott’s love for chilled out, instrumental, groove-based music. The music is inspired by artists such as Massive Attack, DJ shadow and Shigeto, as well as the recent infux of instrumental low-fi hip hop on the YouTubes.
