Edit history

Catharsis are a new heavy metal band hailling from Toowoomba, we've played many local shows, released our demo 'The Basement Tapes' and got a very positive review in a local magazine The Post Box. We started during high school under the band name Black Mass Martyr though having a shaky start we were reborn as Catharsis by Denver Griinke (Guitars), former members Mike Thompson (Vocals) and Corey Duckworth (Guitars) and Riley Silver (drums) but due to difficulties in finding other musicians and clashing musical direction the lineup changed several times, resulting in Mike Thompson leaving the band and being replaced by Dave Mitchell on vocals and Nick Henderson on guitar, though due to unfortunate yet mutual agreements Nick and Corey left the band, making the official and permanent line up of Denver, Riley and Dave. We are a band that writes and plays what sounds good to us, not being held down by any constrictive genre or trend (We're more of a HEAVY MUSIC kind of band), utilising
