Catherine Traicos is a critically acclaimed singer songwriter hailing from sunny Perth, Western Australia. Well, sort of… she has also been known to haunt the smoky cobble-stoned back streets of Melbourne, and the postcard city sunsets of Sydney. An underground icon in the Australian music scene, Traicos has been quietly collecting accolades and critical acclaim whilst steadily and deliberately operating outside of the mainstream for years. On her own and in various band incarnations, she has released eight studio albums and toured nationally and internationally her audience growing in that time. Her songs ‘simmer with noir’*, the lyrics raw and emotive, her voice strong yet vulnerable; the whole - ethereal. She has graced such diverse stages as Nashville's iconic Bluebird Café and The Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. Catherine believes that all in life is music, that there is harmony everywhere, you just have to listen for it. * Barnaby Smith, Rolling Stone Magazine, 2014
