Caught with Candy is the story of two creative minds on opposite sides of the world and the connection that transcended that distance. Sela Hafoka-Hauser (Switzerland) and Matt Brabender (Australia) met through online collaboration organisation www.kompoz.com. As they began sharing ideas, writing and recording, it was quickly realised that this was a musical connection that was meant to be. Taking full advantage of the digital realm, inspiration struck and writing became feverish, cataloguing over 150 tracks in their first year. Stylistically, as with distance, genre has held no bounds. The music playfully jumps between styles while keeping the live band sonics. Its real music played by real musicians. Caught with Candy has now formed in Australia to realise the music live. They have released their debut album ‘A Breath Away’ along with a celebratory single ‘What Really Matters’ which is available for free via cdbaby.
