Edit history

Damon Brown and Richard Strong started playing music together in Hobart In the mid nineties writing and playing original acoustic music. Driven by groove and originality. The band has evolved into a truly eclectic and often eccentric group. While time has passed and the process has changed. The purpose has never been genre based rather to present a feeling or mood. Styles can go from Funk to heavy new styles within one song. Groove and feeling remains very important with a common thread being empathy and light even within the heaviest of material. The goal is definitely to move people and be inclusive to all who lend their ears. CHALKNCHEESE are writing & recording focussed with Damon based in Tasmania / Melbourne taking production and instrumentation duties including driving bass and guitar and Richard residing in Brisbane taking vocal duties and lyrics while helping with arrangements.
