The Channel Switcher journey began in 2011, with Dan (lead vocalist) and Eric Johnston jamming out some original material written by Dan in his bungalow also known as ‘The Cave’. As time progressed they picked up a long haired and crazy eyed bass player by the name of Doctor T, followed by guitarist Liam Clements. Weekly rehearsals turned into weekly recording sessions at The Tone Factory. The three guitarists played a stripped back acoustic set of their songs to a captive audience at Shine On Festival in November. March 2012 saw the release of their debut EP "Latent Vibrations" and saw the departure of Liam Clements from the team. With a missing piece in the puzzle, Pat Wood quickly stepped in to fill the shoes of a lead guitarist in stunning fashion and now the band draws its attention to the Melbourne gigging scene and creating new material.
