brisbane based Charles Francis wears his heart on his sleeve through his music, juxtaposing jumpy four-on-the-floor drums with sordid-sounding synths and ambient-doused sounds. an immense feeling of being crushed and drowned out by heavily laden melodies is cut through like a hot knife by the rushing, wild house sounds he uses as a platform to then build upon. before you know it the track has ebbed away into nothingness, melting into oblivion and a slow fade out. for a split second you don't quite know how or what to feel.
