Charlotte Roberts I attend Pimlico State High School and am in Grade 12. I have been singing since I was 7 and always had a dream to sing and write my own music. I wrote my first song when I was 11 in my nans shed and when I was 16 got my first guitar which I taught myself to play then I discovered how to write songs. Writing music helps me to deal and express my emotions. I think it’s important for youth to understand that you’re not alone in dealing with things. The song sixteen tells a story about a girl who meets a boy who isn't what he seems, she begins to fall for his lies and she wants to believe he will someday become a better person. He tells her everything she wants to hear, but she's so naive. The message in this song is directed at teenage girls urging them to not let themselves be outspoken, don't be afraid to turn around and walk away, you just might find someone that will treat you with respect. As I grow I would like my music to grow with me and reach out to people
