We are The Charm a Sydney based indi pop/rock band. Our songs are laid back, easy listening and feature vocal lead harmonies of John & Georgie. Think of the sound of a North Queensland glowing sunset and warm breeze mixed with a splash of inner-city bustle, and a pinch of melancholy. Our debut EP Invisible co-produced with Lindy Morrison (and guest drummer) was launched on 18 November 2018. We are proud to support Veterans and performed at Invictus Games 2018.

Born in a garage turned-studio in Perth, Western Australia, CHARM conjures a warm and hazy blend of indie and psychedelic rock. Comprising Loehm Steel (vocals / rhythm guitar), John Porretta (lead guitar), Ben Bignell (drums), and Harry Friesner (bass), the band write, record, and produce everything in their home studio — mixing analog soul with modern detail. Drawing from artists like Ocean Alley, Pond, and The 1975, CHARM’s sound evokes a sense of place and memory through a warm lens. Their music captures the essence of connection and craft, built around groove-driven guitars, lush melodies, and nostalgic textures. Their upcoming single “Do It Again” continues the band’s self-made momentum following supports for Letters to Lions, Freddy Crabs (Sticky Fingers), and The Colliflowers — as CHARM build a new era of West Australian indie rock, founded on authenticity and undeniable charm.

Charm are a three-piece heavy rock band who write loud, punchy, in-your-face rock songs. Since forming in 2009 and playing tonnes of shows over the years they have finally released their debut EP 'a touch faster' in March 2014. Featuring 4 tracks that showcase the two singer-songwriters skills, it's a perfect introduction to the styles, harmonies, sounds and sonic direction that charm are forging for themselves. On stage, charm bring a carefully controlled chaotic live show with switching of instruments, catchy tunes, surprising harmonies, and all blended with a large dose of distorted guitars and pounding drums.
