In the lead-smelting capital of the world, Port Pirie, Cheap Fate are punching out punk-rock numbers quicker than they can write them down. Formed in 2014 as a bunch of plucky fourteen year olds, 2016 has been a big year for the group. After recording with Andy White at Against The Grain studios in Adelaide, Cheap Fate have hit the state-wide gigging circuit, playing a number of shows in the state's mid-north and beyond. "We always try to put on a good show" says lead guitarist Jake Tilley. The group is gaining a reputation for their unique and quirky on-stage chemistry. "We love writing music and expressing ourselves through it." says Tilley. Lead singer Tyler Paterson has to be heard to be believed. Winning the country champ of champs singing competition in 2015, she has a super-mature voice she is transferring to the punk sound. Their first single, "Twisted", is a unique and fresh sound on the new punk landscape. Check it out!
