Born on December 11 1982 in Sydney, Australia, singer/songwriter Cherie Lucas began her musical journey rocked to sleep by the legendary Beatles. Always a performer, Cherie started out singing for friends and family, quickly moving on to bigger things - by the age of 12 she started her professional career. Years of weddings, corporate functions and charity events followed. Tired of perfecting other artists material, Cherie took up a new challenge - writing her own. And with the help of a local producer co-wrote and recorded her first track at the age of 15. As a member of the Talent Development Program, soloist at the Pacific School Games, School Spectacular and many of the sporting events leading up to the 2000 Olympics, Cherie's passion for music in her senior years of high school continued to blosom. At 18 Cherie came into the limelight as one of the youngest finalists on the Channel 7 series "Popstars 3". Her bright personality, quirky style and powerful voice proved "Pop"ular
