The Cherry Void are a Sydney 2-piece band consisting of 19 yr old singer/guitarist Charles Daaboul and 19 yr old drummer Jay Handmer. Formed in July 2006, they have firmly moulded there creativity together to paint a simple yet artistic and full sound for a 2piece piece. Their songs are about random things and issues like white jeans, coin operated laundramats and hospital elevators that all have an underlying seriousness and meaning about life, love and abstract ways of thinking. They are influenced more by everyday issues and 20th century artworks then certain bands, but love any music which has a strong sense of creativity and thought behind it. When it comes to playing live is where the music and sense of character of each song comes out the most!
