Meet Stanley. Meet "Nasty". "Chiefly Madness" is yet another extension of the narrative puzzle that is Thomas Calder. It represents an exploration of the more experimental, genre-hopping instincts that are always at the surface, trying to find a way out. With an intention of placing no restrictions on sound or style, The project sees the songwriter exploring stories told through other characters and representing different, darker aspects of the human experience through the eyes and words of this chorus of mad individuals. Stanley; the narrator of this first batch of songs, represents the twisted, disordered, and mischievous emotions that live within us all and gives voice to shadow self; the dark character in the corner, under the table, down the alley, through the blinds.
