Edit history

Childlike Empress is a Perth rock duo made up of brothers Karl (bass/vocals) and Lance (drums) that oozes contemporary progressive rock tunes with elements of multiple other influences and genres thrown in. Originally formed in early 2013 as a three piece, CE found their sound in 2017 after filling the place of the lead guitar with overdriven lead bass and combining this with erratic and booming drums. You'd never think two people could occupy so much space on stage with a sense of chaotic elegance as they belt out the occasional untamed rhythm and surprise tempo change. These guys bring it when they hit the stage, so no surprises that they’re seen as an established band already." - Ted Dana, Australian Musician Network. "... a hard hitting combination of contemporary metal with catchy pop punk elements." - Tom Mantle, Big Tommo Presents."
