CHIME. How many producers do you know who combine an appreciation for the 18th century organ preludes of Johann Sebastian Bach and the ability to make your mates on the dancefloor start busting out moves that make them resemble a bunch of stoked velociraptors on serious amphetamines? While strangely this ‘velociraptor creator’ trait doesn’t feature in the skills section of their work résumés, Aaron Pezzaniti and Leon Ross (Stematix) both indeed possess this lovely gift. CHIME is the musical incarnation of the chance meeting of these two young talented producers, who found themselves wandering the same halls of the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts in 2014.
