Forming in Mid 2019, CHOP have made noise around the Newcastle scene with their hard hitting lyrics, pounding bass lines and engaging live performances. Speaking on political issues, the duo aren't afraid to speak their mind when it comes to their music. Playing venues around Newcastle such as The Dungeon, The Newy Hotel, Softys Clubhouse, CHOP have made a name for themselves as one of the most electrifying new acts Newcastle has to offer. Recently releasing their debut single 'Freedom', the two have given their fans a taste of whats to come in their upcoming album which is set to be released late 2020.

Chop! is Ben Provest's new project. After living and working in the US for the last 4 years, Ben is back in Sydney, recording and releasing original music again. He spent 2 years at Berklee College of Music in Boston before dropping out to move to Los Angeles to assist film composer Christopher Young (The Grudge, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Drag Me to Hell). While assisting Chris in LA, Ben was also performing as a guitarist, and was scouted to teach on Fender Play, an online guitar teaching platform. Since returning to Australia in mid 2020 Ben has been releasing music online, and received a positive review from Beat Magazine for his last single “Hollywood Heartache”.
