Chops consists of Frank Benn (Vocals, acoustic guitar) and Brent Milne (Drums, backing vocals) Frank was born in Fiji and grew up on Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland, New Zealand. Brent was born on the Gold Coast and grew up by the sea on the Fraser Coast, Queensland, Australia. This band has brought together the South Sea Islander, New Zealand and Australian cultures that forms the wider region of the world known as 'The Great South Land'. Brent and Frank currently operate sailing cruises on the Fraser Coast, mixing the soulful rhythm of the sea, natural beauty of Kagari (meaning paradise; Aboriginal) Fraser Island and their music to create their natural roots feel, spirit and persona to the band and their live music. Chops plays gigs in and around the Fraser Coast and onboard 'Shayla' during their whale watch season in Hervey Bay
