chr15m and fenris are the IDM-laden, glitch-heavy, Perth-raised, founding fathers of Australian chipmusic (music made using programmable sound generators, typically found in outmoded consumer electronics products like the Commodore 64 computer). The pair’s influence can be felt across the country, with their unique approach to collecting and creating sounds gracing underground events nationwide, for well over a decade. The aesthetics of unpredictability, self-made bespoke software tools, and, of course, improvisation - between minimal/ambient soundscapes and harsh/noize/breaks/bass - continues to see the act thrive in front of audiences (be them new, or, already lifelong fans).
