Since the age of 15 i have been playing music and singing By the age of 23 i was doing backing vocals for Jon Farnham, the bee gees recorded backing vocals for one of my singles. Later the bee gees management weere impressed enough to take me to their record company where i was signed up for a record deal although it never went anywhere due to the restrictions of the company, i continued on. for the next few years i kept on performing, owned several recording studios, owned & operated a music shop. i had a number one hit across the riverina, nsw, in 77 called "hey mr someone". i became an in-house writer for warner bros for fifteen years where i wrote the song bmx bandits and the soundtrack for the movie with my close friend johnny nash who was latter killed in a car accident, i wrote "goodbye johnny" as a tribute to him. in 84 i appeared on countdown and performed my song "music machine" which molly meldrum was so impressed with that he waived the usual 18 month wait for live
