LITTLE EMPIRES is the debut solo album from West Australian musician Chris Gibbs. Written and arranged by Chris and produced by Rob Agostini at Soundbaker, the album serves as a showcase for Chris' unique song writing style and explores several musical genres in electric and acoustic formats. ‘As both a musician and music fan, my tastes are varied. I wanted to capture some of that diversity on this recording. The challenge was to inject so many of my favourite styles of music into the compositions and still produce a cohesive collection of music.’ Performers on the album include regular band members Mat Ferguson (Living Large) on drums and Gareth Hughes (The Siren Tower, UTI, My So Called Life) on bass, as well as special guests including Jodie Bartlett from College Fall and WAM Song of the Year 2009 nominee Matt Mclean.
