Chris’ passion for music has been a fundamental component of his personality from a very young age. His creative skills were honed at the age of five, when he crafted his first guitar out of a shoebox and string. After one too many renditions of “Grease” on this instrument, his Mum, Joanne and Grandmother, Maureen, purchased his first acoustic guitar for $20. His first guitar lesson was at 11, with the guitar teacher he now credits as being the inspiration for his song writing, Ram Sefer. After two years of working with Ram, the loss of the family dog set the script for Chris’ first song, “Horrible Pain”! Chris is also indebted to his vocal coach, Jen Ransom, who has developed his potential into the beautiful, melodic voice of today. During his early years Chris listened to Fleetwood Mac and the Bee Gees, but feels it was the music of John Mayer and Matchbox 20 that really influenced his style. Chris has always been adamant that he would not play cover songs when performing live
