Christopher Roberts is a composer-performer (double bass and qin) who is as at home within both Western musical traditions and a number of non-Western Pacific Rim musical traditions. “[Roberts’] music is so rich in its textures and gestures and harmonies that his voice is distinctive.” (All-Music Guide) “Roberts has arrived at a new American music … something unique.” (Michael J. Schumacher)
