Cicada was in 2012 when Daniel Kelly and Clint Jones began playing and writing music where any good band starts. The garage. With a passion for the same music and a desire to be a stand out live band they play a genre of music many thought was dead, grunge with influences from many of the great rock bands. Heavily influenced by the movement in Seattle and described as a cross between Nirvana and Silverchair's early work the boys are hungry for success. In January 2013 Cicada released 4 demos including the tracks: 1. Break the Bend 2. Warped 3. Down 4. Negative Incline With a heavy focus on live shows they recently played the Emergenza festival at the Metro to a packed out venue and won getting through to the semi finals in October. Watch out for these guys they will be playing plenty of live venue's in Sydney and Newcastle and across Australia.
