It all began when discovering her brother's music collection - Depeche mode, Faith no more, Live, Nirvana and numerous Triple J hottest 100s strewn across the floor. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One week later, after begging her parents for a drum kit, Claire emerged somewhat victorious with a guitar under her arm and the inspiration to join a band! Cutting her teeth in the small but thriving Hobart music scene Claire realised that guitar was an instrument that could allow the freedom to create and write. And write she did. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the age of 16, Claire recorded with fellow school friends under the name of Anarkasiem with the popular Kool Skools program. One such song, Cartoon heroes, received airplay on Tasmania’s community radio, Edge Radio and was shortlisted in the youth ASA songwriting competition in 2004.
