My name is Claire, I am a 16 year old high school student. I have been singing for about 4 years and have only recently started to write my own songs. Song writing came out of the frustration of finding songs that I wanted to sing. Although I find songwriting challenging, I love the opportunity of self expression through song writing and I think that writing and singing my own songs has improved my musical performance and made me grow as a musician. I would like to think that my songwriting is also improving as i explore new vocal combinations and techniques. My focus now is finding opportunities to perform and play my music. Four of my songs are now available on itunes by searching clairejean.
