Clean Beast is the solo project of Naarm/Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist Ash K. Born to a family of artists and creatives, Ash admits they tried to stop him becoming one. However, despite their best efforts, music has always played a large role in his life. The origins of Clean Beast began following a tumultuous time in Ash’s life when a music therapist suggested he write a song about his recent experience. “I told him in session: “There’s nothing there...” And there wasn’t,” Ash admits. However, after returning home and decompressing, something changed. He started writing, and the words started flowing. Clean Beast as a musical outlet was created, and the music has been coming ever since.
