Clear Tears play non-traditional country. Their debut single ‘Seize’ encapsulates the bands cross between country, punk, noise and roadhouse laced with the Hammond’s soft lament. Clear Tears’ mission is to break the conventions and expectations of what country music is, to subvert with themes of dissociation and disconnect from country, from self and from belonging. After years of living in a windowless room, battling medical and mental woes, Kane Anthony, begun the base of what Clear Tears would be. Overt, erratic and vulnerable emotions flash through in their live performances. Clear Tears have played venues such as Northcote Social Club, The Retreat, The B.East, Globe Alley, The Tote, Cafe Gummo, One Year, Sooki Lounge and many more. They are currently finishing up on their debut release, recorded at Sing Sing East Studios released in early 2020.
