Ey Sydney-based rapper/singer/producer Clifford Carpenter what are you doing rn? You haven't even dropped any music online yet and you're galavanting around Europe playing shows. You think you're too good to do some poorly attended launch in Sydney at some locked out dive bar like the rest of us? Guess you'll have to launch your new record 'Trust' (out September 8 thru Yes Rave) in Berlin or Bristol or somewhere like that like some kinda genius, ok? Clifford Carpenter's 'Trust' is quite the heavy journey, gotta say. Recorded in 3 days and taking influence from trip hop, industrial, house, punk and shoegaze the record details the violent breakdown of a relationship torn apart by mental illness, drug use, day jobs and housing crisis. First single 'Work' (dropping July 21) is a beautiful dark twisted fantasy filled with anxiety and social media that sounds like a morning-after Modafinal party with Morrissey. Catch Clifford Carpenter playing around Europe in July then back in Australia
