The quintet were born out of troubadour frontman ALEX LASHLIE'S desire to have his etherial compositions fleshed out for a live environment. Individually, each member of CLOSET STRAIGHTS brings their own inspirations and inclinations that reach from the far out regions of jangle-pop to the vast plains of true-country ramblers. The track(s) received regular airplay on local community stations RRR and PBS as well as TRIPLE J, and secured them support slots with bands like IMMIGRANT UNION and EATEN BY DOGS. After stints of individual travel to fuel the creative fires, 2014 saw them receive a coveted ARTS VICTORIA GRANT. They
