After refining their unique amalgamation of jazz, electronica, and alternative rock, Melbourne-based Cold Hiker are back with new single ‘Arms’. Developed, distinctive, and full of character, ‘Arms’ gives suitable prescience into the direction the band is heading towards. The release of the single was accompanied by a videoclip, a handful of remixes, and an extremely successful residency throughout October at The Grace Darling Hotel. Having spent the better part of two years playing around Australia with acts such as Custom Kings, I’lls, and Gang of Youths, the four-piece are set to release their second EP in early 2014, with upcoming wunderkinds Andrei Eremin and Simon Lam enlisted in production duties. “This track will smooth over even the most pear-shaped of days” -Vulture Magazine “Worthy of your time, and more than worthy of mine” -Sound Doctrine “Props to these guys for exploring a hybrin sound that you won’t hear very often” -Dave Ruby Howe
