In June 2013 the sisters of alternative-pop duo Corinthia released their debut EP Love Like North as a fundraiser for Destiny Rescue - a charity dedicated to preventing, rescuing and restoring children from sexual exploitation and trafficking. Exactly seven months from the release date, their target of $6000 (the approximate cost of rescuing four enslaved children) was reached. The Toowoomba based duo, whose live sound has been compared to artists such as Kate Bush, Regina Spektor and Tori Amos, was formed in late 2011 by singer-songwriter Noralyn (vocals, piano) and sister Naomi (vocals). The two were brought up on a musical diet of mainly classical and gospel music and both began their musical journey with piano lessons at around 11 years of age. From childhood the sisters were making music together – crafting nonsensical ditties on long car trips, breaking out in spontaneous songs of every genre while working on chores, and sometimes harmonising on tunes a bit more seriously.
