After an extended gestation period in a suburban bedroom, Country Women’s Association will emerge fully formed with the release of their Gripes EP. CWA grind through intense numbers like champion depressives, whilst revealing and reviling their country roots through themes of love, loss and isolation. Solid beats and dense compositions combine with aching lyrics to create an absorbing, if at times asphyxiating atmosphere of anguish-tinged longing.
