Devouring noir and Didion to fill the tedium between other people's stages and studio sessions, Cowboy Joan learned to sing to know themselves. Begun in Hobart, Tasmania and abandoned in Pōneke, Aotearoa, Disappear in Smoke is Cowboy Joan's first release, a lo-fi broken down record embracing failure, grief, mortality and love. Last and hardest of all.
