West Australian duo Cruel Noon were drawn together following a growing interest in sonic experimentation and a long-time appreciation for electronic music. Cruel Noon occupies a distinctive niche in contemporary electronic music, blending elements of Techno, Drum ‘n’ Bass & Trip-Hop with an appraisal of old school conventions through a stylistic modern perspective and live performances which have seen the duo support acts such as Machinedrum, Ivy Lab & My Nu Leng. With their debut EP ‘Midnight Red’ receiving support from Mistajam and DJ Barely Legal on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and their 2019 single Slow featuring Your Girl Pho receiving Boiler Room & RinseFM airplay and a slew of remixes from a diverse array of artists such as Breach, Jonwayne, and Wiley, Cruel Noon continues to reinvigorate their sound in their 2020 Callisto EP release.
