Songwriters, producers and multi-instrumentalists Adam Katz (of electronic-pop outfit Katz) and Edvard Hakansson (Mimi Gilbert, Phoebe Go) team up to launch a new guitar-pop forward duo called Crusher. With the announcement, Crusher released their debut single ‘Twice’, followed by second single ‘Lilac’, which were met with radio play, global playlisting, and praise from critics and fans alike. Crusher precisely blends styles, with turn-of-the-century alt-rock seamlessly intersecting with the glittery production of pop. The resulting tracks are altogether emotive, powerful, and singular in their delivery, perfectly pairing the proficiency of digital with the warmth of analogue. Crusher’s third single ‘Strike Out’ continues to move the duo’s burgeoning, breakup-themed body of work forward, with their debut EP (out 29 November) set to take listeners through the angry moments, the hopeful moments, and – of course – the crushing moments.
