Cry Baby is for the emotional freaks who want to cry and dance - and not care who’s watching! Where insult once led to injury, the name ‘Cry Baby’ is a moniker that Sunshine Coast alt pop artist, Rebekah Winnett, now wears as a badge of honour. A fresh project, this is a songwriter who knows how to turn a sad breakup song into a cool as fuck bop with memorable lyrics, gripping vocals and punchy production. Cutting her teeth busking in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Cry Baby’s debut is born from a collaboration with brother and producer, Judah Winnett, and triple j faves, Christian Patey, AYLA and newcomer, Jye Pouzet (Lunar Phase). Taking you on a journey through the good, the bad and the ugly sides of heartbreak, Cry Baby’s brand of alternative pop will have you moving to the beat and empowered to embrace your inner ‘Cry Baby’ once and for all! https://linktr.ee/crybabysinger

A sensuous, enigmatic six-piece hailing from Geelong's northern suburbs, CRY BABY sings songs of love, loss and redemption, and pulls no punches in delivering them in their own unique style. Fervent vocals twist through razor-sharp riffs, roaring bass lines and thundering drums that back a piercing horn section. Drawing inspiration from a cosmic array of genres and styles, CRY BABY will take you on a journey through a fusion of soul, doom, post-punk and funk. CRY BABY’s sonic turbulence will leave you addicted to the thrill of a sound indescribable, one that’ll leave you crying, baby.
