Cry Havoc is 4 men with a wide variety of tastes in music who have come together with big amps, guitars and loud drummer to create a new heavy sound. It’s all original material and it sounds like no-one else, but echoes of Mastodon, Led Zeppelin, Isis, the Cult of Luna and even the Allman Brothers Band are there, lurking within the mix. Cry Havoc has been joined as a unit for 3 years and stomps around Brisbane playing an original formulation of heavy, guitar driven music which fuses the most compelling elements of hard rock and metal from over the decades, with lyrics that deal with the darker side of human history and the problems of troubled conscience. The live show is loud and dynamic, and no apologies are made for that. The band has recorded an album’s worth of original material and has a strong work ethic.
