Edit history

Cryptids are a Boorloo/Perth-based five-piece consisting of frontman/guitarist/songwriter Dan Morey, guitarist Joseph Bergl, multi-instrumentalist Saskia Willinge, drummer Andy Tuckey, and bassist Jake Barnett. They make music that is sometimes dreamy, sometimes noisy, and usually a bit of both. The origin of Cryptids lies in Dan’s decision in 2020 to gather friends together to work on the music he had been writing since the age of 15. Since making their live debut in September 2021, they have played regularly in the local scene, including opening slots for heavyweights like Pat Chow, Shit Narnia, and Didion’s Bible. They sold out their launch in December 9 for their debut single, ‘Jonah’.
