Brisbane band, CUCA SHOP, are a breath of fresh air. In fact, the band is more like a gust of air, which will leave you feeling like a dog with its head out the car window at 80km/hr. Their uplifting funk flavours and nu-soul sounds have been aurally stimulating Brisbane bar goers since 2003. After 5 years performing as ‘Fuscia’ and a successful ep release ‘Things’; the band was later rechristened as CUCA SHOP. The current EP, ‘Stranger’ has been selling like hot cakes at gigs. Unsuspecting audiences are always left pleasantly surprised. With years of performance, recording and touring experience at festivals and venues around Australia, CUCA SHOP have had members in musical acts such as Gorgonzola, The Rooftops, Re-enactment, and Alex Lloyd. The band has been likened to the sounds of Sia, Jill Scott, and the Brand New Heavies.
