We are a punk band called Cut Short. We come from the southern suburbs of Sydney, better known as the Shire. We came together as a band some time in 2004, which from that point onward took a more serious approach to punk music. We released an EP last year under a different band name to the current one, but have recently recorded a 10-track album titled Loose Stitches. It's difficult to label or isolate our music to a particular genre, as it is a mixture of punk rock, 77 punk, and a bit of ska and reggae chucked in as well. This comes from the bands main influences such as: Operation Ivy, Rancid, Sublime, Frenzal Rhomb, The Saints, and NOFX in Particular. There is no real limit to the Lyrics, the sound of the guitars or the beat of the drums. In the end it’s just fuckin' punk rock being played the way its meant to, minus the fringe.
