Dagwood, formally known as The Dagwood Stevens Band, brings together an eclectic group of musicians from the Brisbane music scene to forge a strong melodic grunge pop and alt rock sound. Purveyors of Brisbane delta pop rock, the band have a tight live sound based around the guitar and bass combo of Nigel Kerr and Ant Lay . The song writing keeps true to the country style of story telling and truth saying, reporting on the lost loves, damaged hearts and battered dreams of the everyday traveller. All members came of age in the western suburbs of Brisbane which taints the band’s sound.
