Daisy Kingdom is that indie girl with a pixie cut and round glasses sitting at the back of the cafe reading poetry. She found her artist name when she stumbled upon a park near her house where she befriended an echidna she named Edward, some kangaroos that were too numerous to name and a multitude of daisies that peppered the grass like citizens of a grassy kingdom. Her music makes you want to cry, softly smile, daydream and look at old polaroids all at the same time. Her soft harmonies and angelic voice guide you through deep metaphors of suffering and triumph, existence and identity, insatiable desires and the exhausting grief of chronic pain. You might be left in a sobbing mess but you might also not feel so alone. She is inspired by the mournful lyrics of Dodie, the nostalgic undertones of Sleeping at Last and the warmth of Mxmtoon. Her love of poetry infuses her lyrics with layers of meaning that might take some time to piece together but are as satisfying as a good puzzle on
