The act of Daktal is the collaboration of two brothers Jacob and Jerome Farah. Together they aspire to produce music to make people smile. Inspired by their parents in a household that revolves around music like an old 12”, it is no surprise their boundless enthusiasm has spurred on the creation of the fine blend of Electronica, Funk and Hip Hop music that Daktal represent. The passion that these two project is emphasised by their will to perform and continue inspire those surrounding them. Tin recent years the pair has regularly been performing and teaching music to indigenous youths around Australia. After being featured on Triple J’s Unearthed Competition and receiving much acclaim, Daktal’s debut EP ‘Steps Of Zilla’ will be released on Common Trolls this Summer. The EP will be the first showcase of the vintage disco; synth pop meets Happy Hip Hop style for Daktal. The music on the EP is in similar elk to that of contemporaries like Bag Raiders, The Avalanches and Daft Punk.
