It all began one stormy evening in an Adelaide pub, where at a mutual friend's party Dan and Elliott shared a few drinks and a concept album was born. It came in the form of an open letter to a friend who was overseas at the time. It was recorded (never written) two weeks later through a $9.95 desktop computer microphone utilising 2 guitars and our extreme lyrical improvisation. From there, we have collaborated on numerous occasions and extended our musical talent to piano, drums, tamborines and tapping objects to produce unique sounds. We have experimented in recording into mobile phones, audio tape players, condenser microphones and of course, the live set. DanElliott do not endorse practicing our instruments, nor writing lyrics prior to recording or performance. Enjoy.
