Freak-Folk/Neo-Classical duo Daniel Goldstein and Sara Umansky. Daniel Goldstein (guitars, percussion, vocals, orchestral arrangements) and Sara Umansky (viola, vocals) started their musical partnership in August 2015, as an experimental Lo-Fi project, an idea which was then given up on in favour of more melodic, listenable material. Both have their backgrounds in classical music and pop music - Daniel was also a member of Psychedelic Pop act The Parliament of Visionary Spirits (in which he was the main composer and lyricist, played the bass and arranged the orchestral parts), and sometimes composes and conducts for chamber orchestras. Sara plays First Viola for the Symphonic Youth Orchestra in Ra’anana, and has often joined The Parliament as First Viola. In their compositions, they use uncommon chord progressions, odd time signatures, tight vocal harmonies... and have the guts to avoid the use of an actual drumkit or synthesizers!
