Sydney singer/songwriter Danielle Deckard returns with her most ambitious project yet. Set for release in 2018, HAPPY is Danielle’s first full-length album, and introduces a bold new rock-infused direction for the prolific artist. Drawing inspiration from the production techniques of the early 80s, Danielle’s uniquely melancholic songwriting is accompanied by a full suite of FM synthesisers, gated drums, chorused guitars, fretless bass, and wobbly tape delay. Danielle and fellow Berklee College of Music alumni Paul Dougherty (producer) and Sam Marks (drums) took complete control of the HAPPY’s highly dynamic arrangements – between the three of them performing all of the instruments on the album. Much of the tracking was completed at Danielle’s own home studio.
